Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship
OrthoIndy's ACGME accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship is the only fellowship of its kind in the state. The fellowship is 12 months in length and the fellow assists with both clinic and surgery as well as completes 1 research project during his/her time here. Our faculty physicians concentrate on the shoulder, knee, foot, and ankle as well as specializing in cartilage restoration, osteotomies, and meniscal replacements. Our fellow works closly with our program's director, Jack Farr, who is one of the world's leading physicians in cartilage restoration. The fellow works alongside operative and non-operative physicians, physiatrists, physician assistants, athletic trainers, and physical therapists.
In addition to weekly meetings consisting of academic discussion and discovery,the fellow is encouraged to present material at local and state meetings. He/she is responsible for designing and developing 1 research project during the fellowship. He/she will also have the opportunity to work with physicians who cover professional teams in Indianapolis including the Pacers, Fever, Indians, Indianapolis Ice, Naptown Roller Girls, Championship Auto Racing Team (CART), and Dance Kaleidoscope in addition to area high schools, preparatory schools, colleges and universities including Butler University.
